Aqueous extracts of Aaronsohnia pubescens subsp. pubescens aerial parts as Green Corrosion Inhibitor for Mild Steel in hydrochloric acid solution

In this study, the two aqueous extracts from aerial parts of Aaronsohnia pubescens subsp. (Odorized extract (OE) and Deodorized (DE)) were used as some novel ecological corrosion inhibitors for mild steel (MS) in 1 M HCl medium. For reason, inhibition behavior OE DE having investigated using weight loss measurements, electrochemical assays, kinetic thermodynamic parameters, methods both stationary (Potentiodynamic polarization (PDP)) transient (Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS)). The obtained results showed that EO act effective efficiency increases concentration 1.5 g/L; reaching high values 93.11 87.88 % solution at 308 K DE, respectively. Furthermore, PDP measurements exhibited studied each inhibitor performs a mixed-type inhibitor. parameters indicate adsorption on MS surface sites obeying Langmuir isotherm.
